Juliet Oury

Juliet is one of the founding Partners and the Managing Partner of Oury Clark Solicitors. She is a member of Liberty, the Immigration Law Practitioner’s Association and the Employment Lawyers Association. Her expertise, primarily in the areas of Employment and Business Immigration, is invaluable to overseas clients wishing to set up in the UK. She also advises business owners across all sectors, high net worth individuals and acts as General Counsel for many companies.

Juliet has an extensive record of criminal and human rights work, including representing and finding assistance for Caribbean prisoners. Through her many trips to Jamaica, Juliet has become a trustee of the Jamaican School resources and Caribbean Capital Cases Trust.

Andrew Oury

Andrew studied Engineering Business Finance at University College London and LSE, qualifying in 2000. In the same year he set up a record label and began work for Clareville Capital who were a new Hedge Fund at the time. In 2003, having moved on to the family business, Andrew qualified as a Chartered accountant, and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Tax advisor in 2011.

Andrew specialises in assisting UK, East Coast US, Australian, New Zealand, Singaporean, Icelandic, and Indian businesses expand and grow in the UK. He has a wide range of clients from startup to large listed entities, in industries such as media, technology, retail, lifestyle and engineering space.

He also specialises in International Tax Structuring, R&D Tax reliefs, and Video Games Tax reliefs.

Simon Walsh

Simon is a Partner at OC Solicitors.  His primary focus is Corporate and Commercial Law, however he is also across the key aspects of Employment Law and the UK’s Immigration Law landscape.

Before joining Oury Clark Solicitors as a Trainee, Simon had a successful commercial career working primarily in the IT sector. Most recently, Simon was involved in building an IT start-up in the UK, performing a variety of roles including Company Secretary, and latterly as Head of Human Resources and Legal.

This extensive commercial and corporate experience coupled with first-hand knowledge of operating in a variety of regions (including Australia, Middle East, France and Northern Africa) is an invaluable resource to clients who find his advice is always balanced with the realities of running a business.

Philippa Sturt

Philippa joined Oury Clark Solicitors in 2021, having previously been a partner since 2012 in a London firm. She advises on all types of corporate transactions and commercial matters, but absolutely loves to work with start-ups and growing companies. She is experienced in advising on acquisitions and disposals, acting for both sellers and buyers, MBOs and company reorganizations as well as company law, shareholder matters, employee incentives and commercial agreements.

Philippa focuses particularly on investments and fundraisings as well as shareholder arrangements. In particular, she has acted for numerous start-up businesses in the food and beverage, FMCG and tech sectors in relation to equity and debt investments all the way from seed capital to series A, B and C fundraises. She advises on SEIS and EIS investments and has shepherded a number of businesses through crowdfunding rounds, as well as advising on employee incentive schemes, particularly EMI option schemes, CSOPs and growth share schemes.
